Welcome to RhodesMUA, Make Up Artistry by Jessica Rhodes

Example of Indian Bridal Make Up

Trained by The Iver Make-up Academy at Pinewood Studios London, I have studied all aspects of professional make up and hair styling for the TV & Film industry, understanding facial anatomy, skin colour and age.  My training has included creating period and character looks, red carpet and bridal styling, plus male grooming, for all ethnic backgrounds and ages.

I have spent time on Pinewood’s film sets assisting with make up and hair for actors, as well as recreating textures and styles of my own.

My passion for the industry started when I grew up with the Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts. I began designing and creating makeup and hair styles for both stage and recorded productions, learning the skills of face and body painting, hair styling and professional makeup for lighting conditions.  I combined these skills with my high school productions and soon realised I had a natural talent that I wanted to pursue as a career. I studied Theatrical and Media Make Up at college which only fuelled the fire within me to

continue my training to the highest levels.  The Iver Academy was my first choice, as it focuses on all aspects of the trade and its reputation is second to none.

I am passionate about attention to detail, and working with my clients to create beautiful looks, whether completely natural or totally dramatic and fantasy.

Let’s Face It face painting was created when I was 16 years’ old to bring enjoyment to children and adults, and further my motivation to be within the industry.  I continue to attend birthday parties for children and adults alike, and provide entertainment at corporate functions and fundraising events.

My love for all things “red carpet” gives me the ability to transform a busy working mother into a Film Siren for the day, or a budding young student into a Prom Queen for the evening, and I love the reactions when my clients see the finished results.

Details of my work can be found on my Pinterest site RhodesMUA. I have provided links on each page to showcase some of my projects and provide you with inspiration of what can be achieved.
